Yamaha vs SHAD Motorcycle Luggage
Amongst the wide array of motorcycle luggage brands, many motorbike manufacturers also throw their hat in the ring with their own luggage lines.
With their own motorcycle top boxes and panniers, Yamaha are no different and in this case, it is understandable why so many prospective buyers may be drawn to the luggage cases that match their own Yamaha motorcycle.
On the other hand, the brands that specialise in luggage offer stiff competition against the original manufacturer and one that stands out in particular, is SHAD. Now, Yamaha and SHAD may rival each other to claim pride of place on the motorcycle, but how do their top boxes and panniers compare?

Choosing between Yamaha and SHAD motorcycle luggage may simply come down to a matter of preference, top boxes and panniers that match your motorcycle or those of a brand that specialises in creating high-quality luggage. With that said, is there actually a definitive answer to which one is better?
The answer to that is a rather mixed one. The Yamaha luggage does offer a few features that SHAD do not and for that they receive a thumbs up. However, in most cases, SHAD have more to offer in terms of storage capacity and at cheaper prices too. As a matter of fact, when looking at panniers, Yamaha’s prices double as they are sold individually, unlike SHAD's which are sold in pairs.
